Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. That early interest led me to pursue a degree in photography & design, which turned into a career in fashion and commercial product photography before eventually leading me to weddings.

Growing up in Southern California, I was always surrounded by creativity, diversity, and a relaxed way of life that naturally shaped how I see and capture the world around me. Over the years I’ve developed both the experience and the perspective that help me document a wedding day in a way that feels genuine and true to the people in front of me.

Meet

Chantel

I am lucky to split my time between the coastal city energy of Los Angeles and the more adventurous mountains of Utah. In the off season I am usually planning a return trip to Europe, working through my reading TBR, and designing and rearranging our home. Even when I am not working, I still love capturing my personal life on film and drawing inspiration from interiors, fashion, and the life around me.

Things I will do:
+ Move you into the best lighting when appropriate
+ Pose and guide you during formal portraits
+ Select the areas at your venue that are best for photographs
+Prioritize the photos you value the most throughout the day
+Make timeline recommendations taking into account lighting and other factors that can affect your photographs.

Things I will not do:
+ Make you redo a first look (!!!)
+ Interrupt candid moments
+ Tell you how to act & react
+ Have a strict shotlist that turns your wedding day into a photoshoot

I  love to assist and guide my clients to help put them at ease in front of the camera and capture their best angles while simultaneously letting moments happen naturally & in real time to allow for candid moments.

My shooting style

Editing is a HUGE part of my process and I put a great deal of care into making sure your images look the best they can be. Each gallery is edited by hand with attention to tone, color, and consistency so everything feels cohesive from beginning to end. My approach is natural and true to life, with the goal of reflecting the real colors, atmosphere, and feeling of the day rather than following heavy trends. I draw a lot of inspiration from classic film stocks, studying the way they render skin tones, highlights, and color so the final images feel soft, dimensional, and timeless. This style allows your photos to feel honest and ensures they will still look beautiful years from now.

I also limit the number of weddings I take on each season so I can give my full attention to every couple and every gallery. That space allows me to be present throughout the process, from the first conversation to the final delivery, and to take the time needed to carefully curate and refine your images. Each wedding is personal, and I want the experience and the final photographs to reflect that level of care.
